About Tim Katzinski
From paperboy to the $50 Million Dollar Club, Tim’s story is about doing what most people won’t.
Tim spent over three decades in commercial sales, building his career from scratch, on his own terms. Somewhere along the way, he started keeping track of the moments that stuck.
Long before he had a name for any of them, Tim was already collecting stories. Every deal that stuck with him, the strange ones, the hard fought ones, saw their own manila folder.Inside one folder was a sheet of paper that read:“Tell the story of The Masters.”By the time he retired, he had 38 folders, each with a name printed with heavy black marker on the tab, just enough to hold the memory until he was ready to write the chapter. The Origin of 70-20-10
In January 1995 Tim was several years into his career at Milliken, a textile manufacturer, when a fire completely leveled their carpet plant in LaGrange, Georgia.
What should have taken two years to rebuild from the ground up, was completed in six months.
Once Tim heard how the contractors pulled it off he recognized the same pattern in himself and throughout the stories he’d been saving.
From the outside, it looked like nothing was happening for months. No walls going up, no visible progress, just meeting after meeting.
The majority of that six months wasn’t spent building. It was spent preparing for the build.70 - 20 - 10
Preparation Execution Evaluation
The Combination of Life is built on a simple formula, a lesson Tim recognized from a manufacturing plant rebuilt in a fraction of the normal time, then spent years living out himself.
The Combination of Life
This isn’t a book of tips. It’s twenty-six chapters of actual experiences told the way Tim would tell you in person.
The formula holds up whether you’re closing a deal, building a career, or just trying to get something right.
A football coach who told him he’d “push through a pull door his whole life.”A conservative New York credit manager who referred to Tim as “the Maverick” for years before he ever met him face to face.A boss who told him he’d never get rich in the carpet industry. From corporate training to sales meetings to college classrooms, Tim teaches it live, built around whoever’s in the room.
He Brings This Formula Into the Room
