Thirty Years of Deals, One Formula

Keynote, workshop, or panel, Tim builds the format around the room.

Tim speaks in rooms where he knows he can provide value through his message and feedback.

It’s his mission to give back to the next generation, which means listening as much as teaching. He wants to hear what a room is actually working through, and builds time to work through it with them.

Corporate Training

The 70-20-10 framework is adaptable to any sales organization. Tim delivers this methodology to new associates in corporate training, presentations, and interactive Q&A sessions.

Regional & National Sales Meetings

At regional and national sales meetings, Tim brings the same 70-20-10 formula to teams already in the field. Presentation and Q&A format, tailored to what the room is working through.

Business School Classrooms

Tim answers the question, “How did you retire at 55?” and explores his 70-20-10 formula with the students in a presentation and Q&A format.

At his most memorable engagement, Tim spoke to a room of about 70 people including architecture principals serving as contest judges, IIDA interior design students who'd just spent two days competing to design a fictitious Amazon workspace, and local designers and vendors filling out the room.

He looked around the room and said, “Listen to me carefully — I have something that will help you throughout your life.” The room went quiet. Then he laid out 70-20-10, and instead of leaving it abstract, he mapped it directly onto the two days the room had just lived through: the preparation the students poured into their designs was the 70%, the twenty-minute presentation each team gave the judges was the 20%, and the 10% — the evaluation — was what came next. Tim announced the winning team live, as the closing beat of his own speech.

Afterward, a young designer came up to him. “Thank you for giving me The Combination of Life,” she said. “I'll remember it forever.”

I take on a small amount of engagements per year, usually six to eight, and choose the ones where I feel I can make the most impact. - Tim Katzinski
